I am assuming that you are already familiar with setting up and maintaining a blog. If you are not, a good place to start is by going through Rob Williams, Orange Jack Blogging University. Rob has done a great job putting this information together and gives a lot of details on blogging.
Generally what you will find on the Internet are websites and blogs that are created by Christians for a Christian audience. This is fine, but in general non-Christians will not visit these websites or blogs. The way to reach them is through the Bridge Strategy. You can learn more about the Bridge Strategy at Tony Whittaker’s website.
Applying the Bridge Strategy to a localized evangelistic blogs means that the majority of your posts on the blog should be secular in nature. You bring in the evangelistic appeal through links, comments and felt need content that ties in with your posts.
In the next post local evangelistic blog examples and ideas for content will be covered.
